With “No More,” SWISS FIDDLERS deliver a poignant musical meditation, marking the one-year commemoration of war in Europe. More than just a composition, this piece serves as a reflection, a protest, and a call for unity in the face of ongoing conflict.
At the heart of this project is producer and violinist Mirjam Niggli, whose heritage deeply connects her to the themes of war and resilience. As a 4th-generation Swiss immigrant from the Balkans, with Jewish and Roma ancestry, Niggli’s personal history fuels the emotional intensity of this piece.
“No More” is a unique fusion of classical interpretation and house beats, created in collaboration with Max B aka New Sound, an artist currently residing in southeastern Ukraine under Russian occupation. The violins, recorded in Switzerland at Hardstudios, were later mixed and mastered in Bulgaria by Matey Hristoskov, who also co-produces and performs with Niggli in live concerts.
Following the success of END RACISM (2021), a chillout-lounge style charity project, “No More” marks a new artistic statement with an urgent anti-war message. Inspired by Charles Gounod’s 1853 arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Prelude No. 1 (BWV 846), this track echoes a timeless plea against violence, displacement, and destruction.
Through soul-stirring violin harmonies and contemporary electronic elements, “No More” stands as a symbol of defiance and hope—a reminder that, even in the darkest times, music can unite us in the pursuit of peace, sovereignty, and a united Europe.
