The words “Australia” and “R&B” don’t often go together, but with his sophomore tune “Game of Love,” Perth-based musician Rein Mali is helping to shed light on Australia’s distinct R&B culture. This heartfelt track, conceived by a group of Australian artists, features sincere lyrics, entrancing melodies, and falsetto voices. Together with producers Blake Weller and Christian Meares, Rein Mali and rapper CHISEKO evoke a nostalgic Neo Soul and ‘College Dropout/Graduation’ vibe, complete with a famous alley-oop moment.

Enjoyable and encouraging, ‘Game of Love’ has appealed to R&B listeners of all stripes when it became  available on streaming services in October. With his debut single “Like Ah,” released in November of 2016, Rein Mali has received widespread appreciation for his efforts to expand the sonic possibilities of R&B and Soul.

Rein
Mali’s dedication to music, which began in the church and progressed to drumming and singing shortly thereafter, is reflected in the quality of his recordings.
Many new recordings with originality, sincerity, and an emotionally resonant voice are on the way, and fans shouldn’t be disappointed.

This Perth-based vocalist is worth your attention if you’re on the lookout for some emotional comfort. For Rein Mali, the future seems bright.
