KDMusic has released his latest single, “How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place (Psalm 84),” now available on all streaming platforms. This heartfelt rendition of the beloved Psalm combines a familiar Northern Irish melody, “The Homes of Donegal,” with rich folk instrumentation and vibrant group vocals, creating a warm and inviting sound.
Dave Whitcroft, the artist behind KDMusic, shares that this song holds special significance for him. As a teenager, he faced challenges caring for his disabled parents after a tragic accident. During those difficult times, he found solace in church, where he could express joy and connect with friends. Singing this Psalm on his way to school became a comforting ritual that reminded him of the Lord’s presence.
The new version aims to capture the essence of communal gatherings and the heartwarming atmosphere of Donegal’s homes and pubs. It is part of an upcoming album titled “The Grace ~ Scots Irish Worship from Lisnabreeny Hill Fort,” designed for ordinary churches to easily adopt and sing.
