JOÉMI’s album “Alibi” marks an important milestone in his career as a new country artist. Drawing inspiration from the sounds and stories of American artists like Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, and Zac Brown Band, JOÉMI successfully captures the essence of this genre while adding his personal touch. The influence of these artists is evident in how he blends traditional country elements with modern and universal themes.

Under the guidance of talented producer Ricky Paquette, JOÉMI digs deep into the roots of new country. The musical arrangements, featuring vibrant banjo and Fender Telecaster guitar, create a festive atmosphere that invites celebration. The album’s lyrics evoke moments of joy and camaraderie, reflecting a desire to share authentic and happy experiences with listeners.

The very concept of “Alibi” is fascinating: JOÉMI describes his album as an escape from the constraints of reality. Each song becomes a story, a reason to escape into a musical world where emotions take precedence. This approach gives the project a narrative depth that resonates with anyone who has ever felt the need to flee from daily life.

Moreover, the familial aspect of the album is touching: his son Zackari adds his touch on piano, while his partner Marie Pier Cantin joins him vocally on nearly every track. The participation of friends like Martin Deschamps and Simon Charette further enriches this collaborative work.

With a tour planned across Quebec in 2024 and 2025, JOÉMI is set to bring these songs to life for audiences, especially during prestigious events like the Festival Western de St-Tite. “Alibi” promises to be an exciting project that invites everyone to explore their own inner worlds while celebrating the simple joys of life.
