The Breakdown are pleased to announce the release of “Jump the Shark,” their newest single. A compelling musical commentary that captures the journey of a fictional program via the development of its plot, examining the highs and lows of long-running television series.
The song examines viewers’ existential concerns, the anticipation of cliffhangers, and the frequent loss in originality witnessed in later seasons.
As a result, it acts as a metaphor for life itself, asking whether the events we are going through are just “filler” moments or important turning points.
The Breakdown’s guitarist Andy Strevens produced the song, taking the band’s recognizable sound to new heights and giving it a sound that connects with their audience.
Since the 2022 release of their debut album, “Open the Barricades,” The Breakdown has rapidly grown a fan base.
They now routinely play shows in and around London, have been mentioned on a number of well-known music blogs, and are almost finished with their second major release, which has not yet been given a name.
