Good Deal Shares Debut EP “Probably Not”

108

After grinding it out in the local club scene throughout 2023 and releasing three singles, Good Deal dropped their debut EP “Probably Not” across all platforms. This EP marks the culmination of more than a year’s worth of hard work, writing, and searching for the right musicians to capture the band’s energy and share it with the world.

In the second half of 2023, the band released three singles: “Dirty Plates,” “Two Birds,” and “Worth a Try,” leading up to the EP release. “Probably Not” showcases Cliff Johnson’s (Vocals, Guitar) first full effort in songwriting and composing for a complete project. It’s also the first time each member of the band has taken the lead in their respective musical roles, creating a new and humbling atmosphere on each track.

Drawing inspiration from the resurgence of new wave indie, folk, and pop-rock music, Good Deal takes cues from artists like Pinegrove, Slaughter Beach Dog, Peach Pit, and Hovvdy. Their music is nostalgic and thoughtful, touching on both hopeful and melancholic themes, all set against catchy, guitar-driven melodies.

Good Deal is made up of Cliff Johnson (Lead vocal, guitar), Andrew Barsody (guitar, vocals), Bryan Miller (bass, vocal), and William Ashely (drums).
