French-American artist Eric John Kaiser is has released his latest studio recording, “La dame de Haute-Savoie” (The Lady from HauteSavoie in the French Alps). This marks the third single from his highly anticipated album honoring the legendary French singer-songwriter Francis Cabrel, following the success of “Sarbacane” and “Encore et encore.”
Recorded in San Francisco, Portland, and Paris, this project brings together a talented team of musicians and producers to reimagine Cabrel’s timeless work. Accompanying the release, a brand-new music video for “La dame de Haute-Savoie” is set to debut soon.
A deeply introspective song, “La dame de Haute-Savoie” reflects Francis Cabrel’s state of mind at the time, capturing his anxiety and weariness toward fame. Through poetic storytelling, Cabrel envisions an escape to the French Alps, where he dreams of a woman living in harmony with nature—a free spirit whose solitude is as enchanting as
the mountains that surround her.
