“Buffering”: A Heartfelt Debut by Adrien Latgé on Long-Distance Love

85

Adrien Latgé’s song “Buffering” is set to be released on June 14th. This is his first song under his own name, marking the beginning of his solo indie-folk career. The song “Buffering” is an acoustic ballad, which means it is a soft song with guitar music. The song talks about the problems people face in a long-distance relationship. When two people are far away from each other, it can be hard to talk and keep the relationship strong. This song tells the story of these difficulties.

In “Buffering,” each verse tells about the struggles of staying in touch when loved ones are far apart. Even though technology should make communication easy, it sometimes doesn’t help. The relationship is like a video that keeps stopping and starting because of a weak internet connection. The song shows that even when people care about each other, their relationship can still have problems. At first, the song seems to be about a relationship that isn’t moving forward. But when you listen again, you can hear that it is also about remembering all the times the two people tried to talk and stay connected.

Adrien Latgé is originally from France but moved to London when he was 19. Before starting his solo career, he had a music project called Easymess. Now, he focuses on his solo work, inspired by artists like Damien Rice, Marcus Mumford, and Fleet Foxes. His music is known for being intimate, with personal lyrics and gentle melodies. He has worked with many musicians in the UK as a drummer, percussionist, and backing vocalist.

Latgé writes songs about life, relationships, and mental health. He talks about his experience living in a new country and the challenges that come with it. Before his solo project, he released several songs with Easymess. One of his popular songs, “A Little Closer,” was a collaboration with folk artist Jess Reid and has many streams on Spotify.

With “Buffering,” Adrien Latgé starts his solo journey with a song that many people can relate to. It is about the hard times in a relationship, especially when distance makes everything more complicated. His soft, acoustic style and heartfelt lyrics make “Buffering” a touching and powerful song.
