Bernard Côté, our cowboy with a thirst for expression, introduces his new song, “Pour que tu reviennes vers moi”. He begins with evocative lyrics:
“Like a cowboy when summer comes, I thirst for love, I thirst for life, all my courage at the bottom of tequila, I don’t always believe in my bravery, but at a slow trot, I see that I’m moving forward, between two clouds, I write this word for you, to make you come back to me.”
With that, everything is said. This song marks a new encounter and a new style for Côté! Supported by the instrumentation, arrangements, production, and contributions to both lyrics and music by Phil OaK, Côté brings us a track in a unique country-reggae style that promises to bring joy and enjoyment during this summer season!
All previously released excerpts have seen great airplay. Côté’s songs like “Mon vieil amour” (Top 10 Country Hit) and “Montréal” (No.1 on Stingray Musique’s Franco Country channel), as well as “Chez les Côté” and “Le fleuve”, have firmly established his music in the hearts of country-folk enthusiasts. More recently, “Entre deux couleurs” enjoyed a strong run, landing in the Top 10 of CKLE/CJVA La Superstation in New Brunswick. His latest release, “Quand t’écoutais du Country”, has found a genuine place on the radio and in the hearts of listeners worldwide.
