American music duo Tanner and Peyton Whitt recruits their close friend and artist DeMarko Murphy as they release “Misbehave” a new song which motive is to ignite stake relationships.

The American alt-pop band RAGS AND RICHES, which is comprised of brothers Tanner and Peyton Whitt, aims to uplift and motivate a new generation of dreamers through their upbeat performances. The Lexington, Kentucky locals’ “Speed of Sound” debut single was published in 2019 and ignited a wildfire breakout that amassed over a million streams across platforms.

Together with their close friend DeMarko Murphy, they wrote their most recent track, “Misbehave.” Incorporating references to Barbie and Shrek, the song draws its aural inspiration from a blend of nostalgia for the 1990s and 2000s. According to the duo, “We had the term “Misbehave” in mind for the song, and the concept was essentially this couple who had watched their relationship grow stale and were looking for some ways to reignite the flame. Knowing this, the song’s humor, seductive, and somber elements naturally came to it on its own.”

A feel-good, humorous, dancey mood emanates from the original tune, which is sure to make your day better. You’ll find yourself singing along to the catchy lines, “I just wanna see you misbehave,” as the song shimmers with vibrant synths, jovial percussion, and edgy guitars.

The two-man group has played more than 200 concerts in more than 40 states, including as tour support for Fitz and the Tantrums, Judah & the Lion, Durry, and Leah Marlene. In September, the group will be directly supporting Smash Mouth. The pair also received two Lexington Music Awards for “Pop Artist of the Year” and “Song of the Year,” ranked in the top 200 on NACC college radio charts, and remarkably racked up more than five million streams and more than two million video views in just four years.

Over 1.4 million streams were generated by their debut album Always Gold in its first week alone after it was published in 2022 by Sonablast! Records. It is evident that these tenacious brothers are ascending to the top given their current tremendous success.
