Logan Garrett, an established Nashville DJ and Producer, released his latest record “Move.” Music City no longer just means Country Music, and Logan Garrett, a fixture of the Nashville club scene, is at the forefront of mixing country, electronica, and hip hop. After seeing the success of country remixes and the overlap of genres happening in the local scene, Logan Garrett crafted “Move.” Combined with Anella’s genre defying style and sound, Move is a foreshadowing of what is to come in the blurring of genres and sounds in the industry.
This record has a disco influence that combines the current sounds of dribble & stutter house. The vocals from genre bending artist Anella add a comforting sound that pulls the dance vibe into a unique pop space that feels welcoming and smooth. When you hear Move, you hear the very cutting edge of what is coming out of Nashville.
Anella is a rising recording artist from Trinity, NC who signed with Def Jam in 2022 and has since been at the forefront of the current sound that balances between country, pop and rap. Anella has recently had numerous viral singles including and, support on digital streaming platforms, and a feature on Diplo’s country project. Anella is supporting Lil Wayne & Quavo on a stadium tour this spring.
When discussing the process of the record, Logan Garrett noted:
“Playing as a DJ in Nashville, I’m constantly challenged to find records that can provide a country feel, but fit within a dance / electronic set. I made “Move” with the intention of fitting somewhere in that blur of genre boundaries. Anella’s unique take on country and hip-hop creates exactly the sound this record needs. The record delivers a clean energy that I was able to test with crowds, gauge their reactions & adjust the record. “
