An awardee of the MOBO Awards’ “Unsung Class of 2022″ and the 2019 winner of the national Open Mic UK competition, Natalie Lindi releases her new single “Keeper” on November 17 with AWAL. Her voice and the heartfelt songs she sings have been getting a lot of notice. This year, Blue Lab Beats have performed at a number of festivals with Lindi as the featured live vocalist, including Glastonbury and Spain’s Jazzalida.
In addition to Marshall’s label’s publication of MOBO’s Unsung CD, she has gotten backing from BBC Radio One and BBC Introducing. London-based up-and-comer whose stunning new self-composed single “Keeper” showcases her considerable potential.
Inspired by the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Minnie Riperton, and Mariah Carey, Lindi’s enticing vocal has a distinctly fresh approach. The words are enveloped in sugary melodic tones and pack a powerful emotional punch of love and honesty, making for compelling listening.
“ Keeper is about devoting myself to a long-distance lover. I wrote it hoping that upon listening to it they would be reassured of my commitment and passion. Even with distance as far as the other side of the world, I’m theirs to keep” as Lindi explains.
The new song “Keeper” is the first of several singles to come from Lindi in 2024, and she will also be making a few live appearances. Having already performed extensively over the UK including Ronnie Scotts, the Great Escape festival, the Roundhouse Beach, O2 Indigo, and Brighton Komedia, Lindi is already a performer that creates a memorable impression on any audience.
